USC star JuJu Watkins sparked romance rumors after she was spotted in conversation with NFL quarterback Jayden Daniels following the Trojans’ win in the March Madness.
The guard led the way for her team with a virtuoso showing against UNC Greensboro, as USC came out on top with a 71-25 win. The 19-year-old prodigy contributed 22 points, eight rebounds and two rebounds across her 28 minutes on the floor.
After delighting the crowd with her showing at Galen Center, stuck around as Mississippi State was preparing to face CaIifornia. The Bulldogs came out on top in that showdown to earn a Sweet 16 spot, courtesy of a 59-46 victory as Watkins watched on to see who her next opponents would be.

Washington Commanders football superstar Daniels was present in the crowd in California, alongside his mother, Regina Jackson. Watkins and Daniels appeared to be deep in conversation, as they enjoyed what seemed to be a humorous chat on the sidelines – while Jackson sat between them.
The latter has famously been protective of her son ever since his emergence in the public eye, opening up on her fears for the quarterback. Speaking on Prime Video’s “The Money Game”, she previously asserted: “Girls… them girls.
“Some girl out here, she’s got a Jayden Daniels wall and her mama says, “Hey honey, you’re going to the be the one to get him’. And I know that sounds crazy, but I guarantee there’s someone who’s trying to get their hooks into Jayden Daniels. So thank god he got a mama like me because it ain’t happening.”
As for Watkins, she allayed any fears over injury, after she was left hobbling at points during her most recent outing for USC. She said: “I don’t know. I think, you know, it’s the end of the season, body’s a little banged up, but onto to the next. Nobody really cares, so onto the next. “Oh yeah, I’m all good. Don’t worry.

“No I wasn’t worried at all. You know, I I’m really confident in my team regardless of if I’m in or not,” she continued, as she spoke about her team’s victory. “I know what they can do, so it’s just a matter of when I’m in, just impacting the game as much as I can.”
Speaking about the demands her Trojans teammates put on each other to excel, she added: “I don’t think it’s frustration. I think it’s just knowing we could be better, like Kiki (Iriafen) said we had some rust to to get off so hopefully that’s all done with and, you know, we can really head into this next match up with our best versions of ourselves.
Meanwhile, USC head coach Lindsay Gottlieb confirmed that she had no fears over Watkins’ fitness, saying: “I trust her. I listen to her. I trust our trainers and I say, ‘You good?’ When she says she’s good, I’m probably not going to shut her down,” said Gottlieb.
Paying tribute to the spectators who were present for the Trojans’ win versus UNC, she added: “I also want to just commend the crowd. I think it’s never lost on me how incredible it is, kind of what we’ve built here and in the time when people said you couldn’t do it.”
