The Golden State Warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 121-116 on Tuesday night in a game marred by persistent questions about the officiating.
The Warriors got 30-plus point efforts from Jimmy Butler III and Stephen Curry en route to one of their biggest wins of the 2024-2025 season and now must head to Houston to take on Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and the Rockets.
The Warriors’ game on Tuesday came to a head late in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies attempted to inbound the basketball.
A violation occurred that had Grizzlies fans shaking their heads in disgust and TNT announcer Kevin Harlan playing John-on-the-Spot with a perfect description of what went down at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

“Oh my goodness. Calamity,” Harlan said in comments made on the TNT broadcast.
The longtime TNT NBA commentator knew that the Grizzlies had made a game losing blunder as did most of the audience watching Tuesday night’s game.
“Don’t even get a look at it. Very reminiscent of that Florida-Houston game,” Reggie Miller, Harlan’s partner on the broadcast team, said.
“you don’t even get a look at it.”
Grizzlies coach Thomas lisalo watched on helplessly as the Grizzlies threw their season away with the violation.
For Warriors fans, it was a high point of a season that started off strong, hit a lull midway through, and became something worth taking notice of as Butler III was added and hopes were restored for another long playoff run by the Bay.
