The Los Angeles Lakers‘ road to the playoffs will continue to severely test them when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. It will be the first of two games against the Thunder for them in a span of less than 60 hours.
The Thunder, who have the NBA’s best record at 64-13, are a monstrous defensive juggernaut, and they aren’t too shabby offensively either. They also boast Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the 26-year-old superstar guard who will likely lead the league in scoring and win the regular-season MVP award this season, plus rising star forward Jalen Williams and intriguing 22-year-old 7-foot-1 center Chet Holmgren. Simply put, they will present a humongous challenge for the 47-30 Lakers.
