Lawton Police Department releases identity of drowning victim from over the weekend

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – The Lawton Police Department (LPD) is releasing the identity of the drowning victim from the floods that took place on Saturday, April 26.

On Saturday, LPD officials said first responders witnessed a vehicle drive into high water near 2nd Street and F Avenue. First responders were unable to safely make it to the vehicle.

LPD is now saying the victim was 81-year-old Leo Rich.

Officials say they are still investigating what happened and will release new information once it is available.
