In a world where there are so many shutdowns, including Party City, Big Lots, Red Lobster, and even some Kohl’s stores, the economy is affecting every business, whether it be restaurants, department stores, or local companies.

Lowe’s has announced that it is going to be shutting down every single one of its stores in New York State for 24 hours and that will leave other home improvement stores to have a wide open day to steal some business.

This is the first time in a few years that they will shut down for a full 24 hours on this day.

There are over 1,700 Lowe’s home improvement stores in total, and there are about 70 here in New York State.

On Sunday, April 20, 2025 there is going to be a complete shutdown across the entire company so that families can enjoy the Easter holiday. They will be shut down for 24 hours which, will open the door for competitors including the Home Depot to steal business. The Home Depot said that it will be open for normal business hours on Easter this year.
