Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome are proud girl parents!
The couple, who have been dating since 2011, are parents to two daughters: Wednesday and Goldie.
The Harry Potter actor surprised fans when he announced on April 27, 2025, that he and the Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging actress had quietly welcomed their second daughter, Goldie G. Grint. He shared the news by posting a photo of baby Goldie wearing a white onesie with her name embroidered on it in gold.
The couple welcomed their second daughter nearly five years after having their first child, a daughter named Wednesday, in May 2020.
Although they’ve kept their relationship and much of their children’s lives private, Grint has previously spoken about his love for his family and how fatherhood “changed” him.
“It’s so much fun. I feel like I’ve changed as a person for sure,” he told Glamour in 2021. “It kind of happened overnight, lifestyle-wise. I stopped smoking straight away. I’ve started sleeping so much better — I used to be a horrific insomniac, now I’m sleeping.”
From welcoming their daughters to some of their funny moments as a family, here’s everything to know about Rupert Grint and Georgia Groome’s kids.

Grint and Groome became parents in May 2020 when they welcomed their first child together, Wednesday.
PEOPLE confirmed that they were expecting their first child the month prior. Grint later revealed that they named their first daughter after the character Wednesday Addams from The Addams Family.
“It’s a good name, isn’t it? I’m always hesitant to say it was The Addams Family, but it was, yeah, kind of The Addams Family,” he said on a March 2022 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Just always loved the name, it’s a good name, memorable.”
The couple initially kept Wednesday out of the spotlight, but Grint officially introduced her to the world when he joined Instagram on Nov. 10, 2020. He shared a selfie holding the little one, who had her back to the camera in a pink sweater.
“Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am. Grint on the Gram! Here to introduce you all to Wednesday G. Grint. Stay safe, Rupert,” he captioned the post.
Grint has mostly kept Wednesday off of his social media pages, but he posted another photo of her while promoting season 3 of his show Servant in January 2022. The sweet photo showed Wednesday sitting in a director’s chair.
He told Entertainment Tonight in December 2021 that he brought Wednesday to work with him, despite the show being much too scary for her age range.
“It’s a weird place to be, especially when Wednesday first came. I remember I brought her to the set this season and she thought she was at Sesame Street, which was very far away from Sesame Street,” he told the outlet, later calling it an “amazing” experience.
However, Grint also revealed that his daughter had absorbed more information than he was expecting and accidentally learned the “F-word.”
“She spends a lot of time in my dressing room when I’m doing my lines for [Servant] and my character says the F-word a lot and now she just says it whenever she’s excited,” he said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “We were at the toy store today, and she was just walking around dropping it.”

Grint has also explained how fatherhood “changed” him as a person and told Entertainment Tonight that he was “absolutely loving being a dad.”
“It’s great. I’m absolutely loving being a dad,” he said in 2021. “It’s just the best thing. It’s amazing how it completely kind of takes over everything. It’s all I really care about, so it’s been great.”
Grint has also spoken about some of Wednesday’s interests and hobbies, which include a healthy obsession with Target, the moon and even a Harry Potter wand.
Grint said during a March 2022 episode of The Tonight Show that he had started “showing her trailers” for his famous Harry Potter movies and that she had a “wand and a PEZ dispenser with my head on it.”
Wednesday is also “obsessed with the moon,” as Grint told Bustle in February 2024.
“She’s obsessed with the moon,” he said. “I like the moon, but I’ve never really paid it much attention. It’s an amazing thing. She’s taught me to appreciate everything again.”

Grint and Groome surprised fans on April 27, 2025, when they announced the birth of their second daughter, Goldie G. Grint.
The actor posted a photo of Goldie wearing a gray cardigan sweater over a white onesie with “Goldie” embroidered on it to announce her birth.
“‘Secret Child Slightly Revealed’ Introducing Goldie G. Grint. ⭐️ A 10/10 baby (so far),” he captioned the post.
Grint also thanked Dr. Alex Digesu, an obstetrician and gynecologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in London, “for always delivering 🫡.”
Dr. Digesu commented under the birth announcement and wrote about how it was a “privilege” to deliver both of their daughters.
“Delivering Goldie and Wednesday has been a privilege for me. You are such a wonderful couple and a beautiful family,” he wrote. “Being your obstetrician and looking after Georgia during both pregnancy has been an enjoyable and unforgettable journey.”
