NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported that the Titans, who hold the top selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, had the heaviest presence at Ward’s pro day. President of football operations Chad Brinker, general manager Mike Borgonzi, Callahan, assistant GM Dave Ziegler, vice president Reggie McKenzie, director AJ Highsmith, offensive coordinator Nick Holz and QB coach Bo Hardegree were all in attendance, per Wolfe.

All got to see in person Ward’s case to be the top selection.

“I can only control what I can control,” Ward said. “I can’t turn the card in myself. If Tennessee, if they get me, I’ll be happy to be there for sure. But at the end of the day, I am just ready to see where I’m going to be at, maybe with Tennessee, Cleveland or New York.”

The large contingent isn’t itself a tell that the Titans will select the quarterback. Still, it follows that Ward is the leader a month out from the draft, given Tennessee’s inactivity at the position this offseason. Will Levis and Brandon Allen are the only two quarterbacks currently on the roster.

Ward boasts a big arm and star-caliber playmaking, but was also inconsistent during his run at Miami, with a propensity to play hero-ball. Developing his game as a station-to-station signal-caller who can still splash big plays is the next phase in the 22-year-old’s process.

At times on Monday, Ward was seen chatting with the Titans team brass, including Callahan, after the workout.

“There’s a like to like about him,” Callahan said. “You can tell he came from a really good family, he’s been raised right. He has a really good personality, he’s fun to talk to, he’s fun to be around. But he has a serious side, he’s focused, he’s determined. It’s important to him. He wants to be a really good player. He has the right mix of the and seriousness. He’s been really fun to get to know.”

To make Ward — or any player, really — the top selection of the draft, the Titans want to make sure the tape matches what they see live and that the player is the type of leader and person who can take the franchise to the next level.

“His tape is excellent, he’s a really good player,” Callahan said of Ward. “Here, it just kind of confirms it. You get to see the ball come off his hands, and you get to see his footwork, see his body, see how the ball travels. Those are all things you like to see in person.”
