More storms on the way after damaging Sunday night weather

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A line of severe storms surged across the central United States bringing damaging wind gusts, hail, and even a reported tornado to Michigan.

The National Weather Service is replacing at least 391 storm reports, with many reports coming from the Mid-Michigan area.

The strongest wind gust reported in our region was a 96 mph gust in Jackson, MI.

Damage to trees and buildings has been reported as a result of these severe wind gusts, with viewers sending in damage photos from across the area. If you have any photos or videos from this event, please submit them at wlns.com/share.

Another round of severe weather is expected to move through our area on Wednesday, with the Storm Prediction Center already placing the majority of our area under an Enhanced Risk (3 out of 5 on their scale) for severe storms. This includes the threat of damaging winds, large hail, and tornadoes.
