Morgan Wallen took the stage in New York for “Saturday Night Live,” but it wasn’t his singing that got the country music star into the news cycle.
Instead, it was the odd way in which he just walked off the stage at the end of the show as credits rolled. Typically, that is a time in which the cast members share a few laughs and chat it up at the end of the show, but the country music star didn’t wait long to just walk away.
That did not go unnoticed by fans, and social media was buzzing with speculation as to why the singer made the move. Some suggested he was being disrespectful to the cast members while others felt it was sure sign Wallen was not happy with his experience there.
The singer has yet to break his silence other than a cryptic post to his Instagram stories just after the show ended. That post appeared to show his private jet and read, “Get me to God’s country.”
That, of course, only added to the speculation.
Variety reported that “sources in Wallen’s camp” said there’s nothing to the speculation and that he had a good time on the show. It will be interesting to see if Wallen actually says that himself.
