NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – As Spring Break comes to a close, many school districts were set to return to their respective campuses on Monday until severe weather forced several to adjust their plans.
A line of storms hit Middle Tennessee on Sunday night, and many counties south of Nashville were left damaged. Heavy winds, rainfall, and even hail were reported across Hickman, Williamson, and Rutherford counties.
Despite some areas experiencing weather damage, only a few school districts decided to adjust Monday’s schedule:
- Cumberland County Schools – Opening Late Monday 2 Hours
- Trousdale County Schools – Opening Late Monday 2 Hours
- Van Buren County Schools – Opening Late Monday 2 Hours
Possible tornadoes were reported in Hickman and Humphreys counties, but neither school district has reported a change to its class schedule for Monday.
