Detroit 116, Miami 113.

Miami suffers their ninth consecutive loss at the hands of Cunningham’s excellent performance, as well as a balanced cast of Pistons alongside him. Jalen Duren had a double-double (15 points, 11 rebounds) across 28 minutes of action.

Bam Adebayo (30 points, nine rebounds, eight assists) and Tyler Herro (29 points, 10-20 FG) led Miami, who held a 5-10 point lead for the vast majority of Wednesday’s contest.

NEMBHARD CLUTCH. PACERS ESCAPE VICTORIOUS

A ferocious Indiana comeback — which earned the Pacers their first lead of the second half in the final 16 seconds — concludes with a defense to offense scramble, a wild drive, and a big-time three that set the stage for a 135-131 final margin.

Nembhard finished with 22 points (7-14 FG, 6-9 FT) and eight assists.

Pascal Siakam (29 points, 11-16 FG) starred in the absence of Tyrese Haliburton (back). He got into rhythm early to keep Indiana afloat and delivered clutch plays down the stretch.

PJ Washington (26 points, 9-18 FG) presented a worthy adversary. While Jaden Hardy boomed for 24 points (8-13 FG, 5-6 FT) in 23 minutes off the bench.

Birds > Wolves

New Orleans pulls off a shocking upset over a healthy Minnesota squad, winning on the road 119-115.

Zion Williamson and Anthony Edwards co-led all scorers with 29 points, although Williamson’s 12-16 shooting vastly outperformed a 5-19 showing (15-17 FT) from Edwards. Edwards continues getting to the free-throw line at prolific volume, combining for 37 across his last two games.

Williamson  also logged a game-high eight assists, and facilitation continues to become a more consistent presence in his game across the last two seasons.

Everybody ate for New Orleans, including Kelly Olynyk (13 points) Bruce Brown (15 points), and Jordan Hawkins (13 points).

SIAKAM SWAT✋🏻🛑⛔️

PASCAL SIAKAM SWINGS THE MOMENTUM FOR INDIANA.

This huge transition block leading to a Bennedict Mathurin layup cut the lead to two, and the Pacers currently trail by four with 90 seconds remaining in Wednesday’s game against Dallas.

Bamonte🔥🔥

Bam Adebayo is on pace for a 40-piece as Miami leads Detroit 62-59 in the opening seconds of the second half. He is joined by Tyler Herro (16 points, four rebounds) and Kel’el Ware (12 points, seven rebounds) to fuel Miami’s offense thus far

Fred VanVleet beats the buzzer🎯🎯

VanVleet keeps his composure and gets a decent look on Orlando to beat the halftime buzzer — expanding Houston’s lead to 56-52. Paolo Banchero leads all scores with 18 points (5-10) FG, 6-6 FT).

VanVleet entered Wednesday’s contest connecting on 34.1% of 384 threes this season, representing the 36th highest volume in the league thus far. He has struggled shooting off-the-dribble, however, hitting just 29.9% of 201 such threes.

Multi-effort plays.

This is what championship-caliber defenses do. Jaden McDaniels comes in to provide the perfect help.

Minnesota is out to an early 22-14 lead over New Orleans, with Mike Conley (eight points, 3-3 FG) leading all scorers.

Jalen Green gettin’ goin🔋⚡

Green’s athleticism is a swing factor in Wednesday’s contest between the second and third ranked defenses in the league thus far.

The Rockets defense holds a narrow edge in that regard, while a sizable edge emerges in three-point efficiency. Orlando is last in the Association by connecting on just 31.4 of their threes this season, while Houston resides in 22st at 35.4 percent.

Key Storylines for the Night👉📝

  1. Coming off just the second stretch of the season with consecutive losses, Cleveland will look to get back in the W column vs. Sacramento’s potent offense.
  2. Dallas and Indiana take the court as skeleton crews needing wins. The Pacers have a 0.5 game lead over Milwaukee for the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, while Dallas clings to the final spot in the Western Conference Play-In. Tyrese Haliburton (back) and Anthony Davis (groin) remain unavailable.
  3. Houston will look to notch an eighth consecutive win, taking on the Magic, while Miami seeks to avoid a ninth consecutive loss vs. the Pistons on primetime.
