Raphinha says Barcelona’s 3-3 draw against Inter isn’t the “worst result” after a dramatic first leg Champions League semi-final between the two sides on Wednesday.
The visitors stunned the home crowd by going 2-0 up but were pegged back when Lamine Yamal scored a stunner. Ferran Torres then equalised after good work from Raphinha.
Yet Inter went ahead again the second half, although Barca hit back instantly with a stunning effort from Raphinha that went in off goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
Here’s what Raphinha made of it all:
“Playing at home, the feeling is that we could have gotten a much better result. Conceding so many goals at home is unacceptable, but we have to give credit to Inter, who are very strong at corners,” he told Movistar.
“Everything is on track for the return leg, which we’ll prepare well for. At 2-0, we had to stay calm and come back.
“It’s not the worst result; maybe we risked too much, but at home, we had to do it.”
Barcelona player Real Valladolid next in La Liga and will then head to Italy for the second leg at San Siro.
