• Australian officials tell PEOPLE that there was a “minor crash” between a bus and a car outside of Perth
• Officials wouldn’t confirm whether this was the crash referenced by Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre
• Giuffre previously claimed she was given “four days to live” following an automobile accident

After Virginia Giuffre, who previously accused late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, claimed she has four days to live following an incident in Australia, officials have confirmed a “minor crash” between a bus and a car.

Though Australian officials released details on the aforementioned auto accident to PEOPLE when asked about Giuffre’s claims, it was not confirmed if the incident was connected to Giuffre, 41. There were no serious injuries and nobody was taken to hospital, according to authorities.

The Western Australia Police said the collision happened in Neergabby, 12 miles north of Perth, shortly after 3:00 p.m. local time on March 24, and there were “no reported injuries” in the crash, in a statement to PEOPLE.

“The collision was reported by the bus driver the following day. The car sustained approximately $2,000 worth of damage,” police said in a statement.

Acting Police Commissioner Kylie Whitely confirmed during a press conference on Tuesday, April 1, that the incident involved a 71-year-old woman at the wheel of the car and a 41-year-old woman in the passenger seat, news.com.au reported.

On Saturday, March 30, Giuffre posted a photo on Instagram of herself covered in bruises in the hospital. She said she was hit by a school bus driver and the doctor told her she had “four days to live” after going into renal failure. 

Giuffre’s father, Sky Roberts, told the U.K. news outlet The Telegraph in an update, “She’s not doing good. She’s depressed because she misses her kids. She’s got four days unless she gets another opinion from another doctor.” He is estranged from his daughter and has not seen her since the crash, according to news.com.au.

The outlet reported that Giuffre, who is originally from California, purchased a $1.9 million home in Ocean Reef with her husband of 22 years, Robert Giuffre, in December 2020.

In an Instagram post shared on March 22, Giuffre spoke about how she “misses” her children “very much” and that they had been “poisoned with lies,” suggesting a possible separation from Robert, who is her children’s father.

Giuffre’s spokesperson Dini von Mueffing said in a statement to BBC following her Instagram post on Sunday, “Virginia has been in a serious accident and is receiving medical care in the hospital. She greatly appreciates the support and well wishes people are sending.”

Giuffre said that Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell trafficked her to rich and powerful men, including Prince Andrew, as a teenager. Andrew has denied this (Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence after being convicted of child sex trafficking in 2021 in connection with Epstein, but not Prince Andrew.)

In 2021, Giuffre sued Prince Andrew in New York. The two reached an out-of-court settlement in February 2022 of an undisclosed amount.
