  1. Crystal Palace 1-0 Brighton
  2. Ooooh. Crystal Palace almost make it two as the long ball comes over the top for Eberechi Eze, who takes an absolutely sublime touch and drives his shot towards the bottom far corner but Bart Verbruggen gets a slight touch to it and it flashes wide for a corner.
  3. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  4. First West Ham corner and Chelsea loannee Kepa can hardly be seen despite wearing a highlighter yellow jersey as he’s surrounded by giant West Ham attackers.
  5. The Spaniard does really well, on his toes, and punches away a cross that lands just under his crossbar.

  22. Jean-Ricner Bellegarde picks up the ball on the edge of the box and lets fly but his effort is just over the bar.
  23. West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth
  24. Better from West Ham who spray a couple of passes around in the middle.
  25. Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets in a great crossing position but for some reason decides to turn back and pass to a marked team-mate. Eventually Mohammed Kudus sends in a hopeful ball that’s too tricky for Jarrod Bowen to get to.

  28. Pat Nevin
  29. Former Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

  42. Wow, that goal form Mateta is an excellent finish. It was one of those that you knew it was going in as soon as it left his foot.
  43. The ‘boom’ from the crowd when he kicked the corner flag for his trademark celebration was so loud too.
  44. Jean-Philippe Mateta
  45. Well I said it’s been a lively start and that’s certainly cranked things up a bit too!

  57. Crystal Palace 0-0 Brighton
  58. A lively start at Selhurst Park with the fans in full voice on a glorious day.

  65. I think when a team like Bournemouth plays with such high intensity and they give so much, sometimes it takes it out of you both physically and mentally.
  66. You maybe just drop the levels a little bit and then it is difficult to get it back on track.

  68. Crystal Palace v Brighton (15:00 BST)
  69. Both of these teams will be disappointed with their midweek results.
  70. Brighton were thrashed 3-0 by Aston Villa and Crystal Palace scored in injury time to salvage a point against relegation-threatened Southampton.
  71. Both sides will be looking to get back on track in this derby match (that isn’t really a derby match).
  72. Ipswich v Wolves (15:00 BST)
  73. Stephen Warnock
  74. Former Liverpool defender on the Football Daily podcast
  75. I think there will be a feeling in the Ipswich training ground to hope they can go on a run at the end of the season.
  76. I think they have found it difficult but can they maybe get another victory and put a bit of pressure on Wolves?
  77. Ipswich v Wolves (15:00 BST)
  78. Six weeks ago this would’ve been billed as a crunch match when it comes to the relegation battle.
  79. As things stand, Wolves sit nine points clear of the drop having managed to string togethers wins in their last two away Premier League games, as many as in their previous 19 combined (W2 D5 L12).
  80. Ipswich have lost each of their last five home Premier League matches – only once in their league history have suffered six consecutive home defeats, doing so between September and November 1963.

  • After winning four of their five league games against Arsenal between December 2020 and February 2023, Everton are now winless in their last four against the Gunners (D1 L3).
  • The reverse fixture between these sides ended 0-0 in December – Arsenal haven’t kept a clean sheet in both meetings with Everton in a league season since 2011-12, while they haven’t failed to score in both against the Toffees since 1912-13.
  • Everton lost this exact fixture 1-0 last season, having been unbeaten in their previous five at home against Arsenal (W4 D1). They’ve not lost consecutive home league games against the Gunners since a run of three between 2009 and 2012.
  • In all competitions, Arsenal have won just three of their last 26 away games on Merseyside against Everton and Liverpool (D10 L13); they had won six of their previous seven visits before this run.
  • Everton have lost just two of their last 13 Premier League matches at Goodison Park (W4 D7), drawing each of their last three. They haven’t drawn four in a row at home in the competition since between January and February 2015.
  • Only Liverpool (17 games) are on a longer unbeaten run away from home in the Premier League currently than Arsenal (10 games – W5 D5). Since the start of 2024, the Gunners have picked up more away points in the competition than any other side (52), and have conceded fewer goals than any other side on their travels (16).
  • Everton have scored four 90th-minute goals at Goodison Park this season in the Premier League, with three of those being equalisers in draws. It’s their most 90th-minute goals on home soil in a campaign in the competition since 2016-17 (also four), and joint most equalising goals in the last minute along with 2010-11 (three).
  • Everton boss David Moyes won three of his first five Premier League home games against Arsenal between 2002 and 2007 (D1 L1) but has now won just one of his last 13 (D5 L7), picking up a 1-0 win as Manchester United boss in November 2013.
  • No current Everton player has more Premier League goals against Arsenal than Ashley Young (2), whose two goals both came in a 8-2 win for Man Utd in August 2011. Young has 10 yellow cards against Arsenal, with only Kevin Davies (11 vs Arsenal) and Mark Noble (11 vs Spurs) receiving more yellows against one opponent in Premier League history.
  • Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has been involved in five goals in his last seven Premier League appearances against Everton (3 goals, 2 assists), though only one of those came at Goodison Park, opening the scoring in an eventual 2-1 defeat in December 2021.
