Thursday night, Raiders GM John Spytek said, for the most part, the draft played out in line with their board. That will become less and less true as we enter day two and teams put emphasis on certain qualities as well as positions.
The Raiders checked a big box in landing RB Ashton Jeanty with their pick at sixth overall. Now they regroup and arrange their draft board for day two.
Should they stay at pick 37, they would only have to worry about four players coming off their board before they pick. But just in case they move down a bit, here’s a projection of what I think the Raiders draft board looks like to start the day:
1. Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
One of the draft’s top receivers. A first round caliber talent. He will go quickly on day two.

2. Shavon Revel Jr., CB, East Carolina
Elite physical attributes, but coming off major injuries.
3. Trey Amos, CB, Mississippi
Big cornerback in the mold of many Pete Carroll types.
4. Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota
The best tackle still out there after all the fringe first round guys went in the first round.
5. Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
Versatile inside/outside cornerback which is what the Raiders need right now.
6. Carson Schwesinger, LB, UCLA
Second best linebacker in this draft behind Jihaad Campbell who went to the Eagles at 31 overall.
7. Jayden Higgins, WR, Iowa State
The next best X receiver in this draft behind Tetairoa McMilland who went to the Panthers at nine overall.
8. Jonah Savaiinaea, OT, Arizona
Versatile tackle who can line up at guard as well if the Raiders need him to.
9. Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama
High character, raw physical talent the Raiders could look to develop behind Geno Smith.
10. Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Safety isn’t a huge need, but Emmanwori is a first round caliber talent so the value would be there.
