Pulisic is set to start in a more central position for the Rossoneri this evening, flanked by the returning Rafael Leao and Alex Jimenez, playing behind his former Chelsea teammate Tammy Abraham up front.

“We have two games against Inter to get to the final and win a title,” the USMNT star told SportMediaset before kick-off.

Asked about the role he will play for Milan against Inter, he replied: “I’ve played this position before, I’m ready. I always want to score goals and get assists.

“I always want to score goals, against Inter and against every other team as well. I want to score and win.

“It’s really important (to start well). We played really well in the second half against Napoli and we have to carry on like that.”

Carlos Augusto will return to the Inter line-up in place of Federico Dimarco, who has been afforded a rest after his recent return from injury.

“Clearly, we must play to win in every competition. A semi-final and a derby is always special, but this is a long season and we need to take on every tournament in the best way,” Carlos Augusto told SportMediaset before kick-off.

“I think this is why we have so many great players who are on the bench, because at this stage of the season and with so many games to play, we really do need everyone to be ready to step up.

“The first derbies didn’t go our way this season, but we analysed those matches and what we did wrong. We must be concentrated on these two matches and then see what happens.”
