Lil Uzi Vert spent Monday night in the emergency room of a New York City hospital, where the Roc Nation rapper is reportedly still receiving treatment.
The 29-year-old Grammy nominee, who uses they/them pronouns, was transported to a hospital at around 2:30 p.m. Monday when paramedics responded to a downtown hotel for a “sick person,” TMZ Hip Hop reports.
Insiders told TMZ that Uzi was conscious when the gurney was loaded into the ambulance, during which security held umbrellas to shield them from onlookers, according to video obtained by the outlet.
The “Chill Bae” musician’s girlfriend JT, formerly of hip-hop duo City Girls, was reportedly with them.
At the time of publication, it’s unclear what led to Uzi’s hospitalization to begin with or what condition they’re in.
Uzi’s hospitalization comes nearly six months after the release of their fourth and most recent studio album, “Eternal Atake 2.”
Representatives for Uzi did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ request for comment.
