BOSTON — The Red Sox and Orioles played one half of their doubleheader Friday.
They’ll try another doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
Game 2 of Friday’s doubleheader has been postponed due to extended pockets of rain in the area, the Red Sox announced. Game 1 of Saturday’s doubleheader will start at 1:05 p.m. ET, and Game 2 will start Saturday night at 6:35 p.m. ET. You can catch both games on NESN.
The Red Sox won the series opener Friday afternoon with a 19-5 victory over the Orioles. Rafael Devers drove in eight runs in a career day at the plate while Boston scored 13 runs in the eighth inning, the most in one inning in 22 years since they posted 14 runs in a frame against the Florida Marlins in 2003.
