Southern Charm’s Craig Conover Is ‘Seeing Someone’ After Paige DeSorbo Split — but Denies It’s Costar Salley Carson

  • Southern Charm star Craig Conover dated Summer House’s Paige DeSorbo for three years until they broke up after Thanksgiving last year
  • The Sewing Down South founder bought DeSorbo an engagement ring before they broke up, which he said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on March 27 that he recently returned
  • Conover confirmed he is dating someone new, but the reality star declined to name the woman he’s been seeing

Craig Conover said in the first part of the Southern Charm season 10 reunion that he knew he “shouldn’t be with someone you have to beg to be with” following his split from Pagie DeSobro. Now, it seems like Conover, 36, might have found someone who willingly wants to date him.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen with his castmates Austen Kroll and Shep Rose on March 27, Conover confirmed that he is dating again.

“And I’m really happy,” the Sewing Down South founder said when asked by Cohen, 56, if he had moved on.

Cohen then questioned whether that meant Conover has been dating “anyone specifically.”

“Yes, I have been,” Conover said. “You know, when I date, I tend to date only one person at a time, so I’ve been seeing someone and it’s been, I have been reminded that the universe works in crazy ways, but everything happens for a reason.”

While Conover confirmed that he is not dating costar Salley Carson, as an audience member suggested, he demurred to name the women he’s been seeing. Internet commenters seem to think he’s been dating influencer Nicole Buffet, who previously dated NFL player Dak Prescott, and she was supposedly in the WWHL audience for the March 27 episode.

Conover said that, despite being “surprised” that DeSorbo “left me” after Thanksgiving last year, he remains “focused on moving on.”

“I haven’t done anything except try to move on with my life, and I’m really happy in the chapter that I’m in,” he continued, later admitting that he “was the delusional one that thought everything was great” during the three-year relationship.

The Pillow Talk author also disparaged the “vitriol” he felt like he’s experienced from DeSorobo and her Summer House castmates. “I want to encourage America to never act like that because I think it’s disgusting,” Conover said.

Later in the episode, Conover revealed that he recently returned the engagement ring that he bought for DeSorbo before they broke up.

“I just returned it this morning,” Conover shared, adding, “I just don’t need custody of it anymore, so I took it back to the guy.”

Conover has previously claimed that he bought the ring at DeSorbo’s request and he agreed to move to New York City from Charleston, S.C., to be with the fashion influencer.

When Conover asked her about what to do with the ring back in December, she allegedly told him, “Keep it. Maybe we’ll get married at BravoCon,” he said during the Southern Charm reunion.

Conover told his castmates that DeSorbo also asked him why he didn’t fight to get her back.

“I was like, ‘I have been trying to get you back. That’s not fair,’” he continued on the reunion. “And then she was like, ‘I think it’s very clear that we both made the right decision.’ And I was like, ‘We didn’t make this decision.’ I would have never left.”

While speaking to Cohen on March 27, Conover said he doesn’t plan to try to reconnect with DeSorbo. “As I close chapters in my life, they stay closed,” the reality star said.
