After over 4 years since his last project “Whole Lotta Red,” it seems like we’re finally in the endgame because Playboi Carti is dropping his long-awaited album “I AM MUSIC” this Friday, March 14th.
Carti first announced his upcoming album after he cancelled his “Narcassist” tour with all of his Opium boys but, back then, the album was only called “Music.” Fast forward to 2023, he began his rollout with a generational run of singles that never dropped on streaming sites like “Different Day,” “2024” and “HOODBYAIR.” He also went on a mad feature run, working with artists like Camila Cabello, Ye and The Weeknd.
According to DJAkademiks and several sources online, it’s going to be a complete album and not one that grows on you like “WLR.” Rumoured features include Travis Scott, Young Thug and The Weeknd along with popular snippets and previews like “Crush” and “Lose You” might make the cut.
After too many delays to think of, Billboards teasers and a billion fit pics, it seems like the day we’ve all been waiting for is finally upon us. You know it’s legit when he tweets a date and that bald guy starts yelling release dates and times at you. It’s been a long 1,539 days but we’re ready now.
