TAYLORSVILLE, Miss. (WLBT) – The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has announced an 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. curfew for the town of Taylorsville, as crews continue to clean up following Saturday’s storms.
“Taylorsville has experienced significant damage due to tornadoes that struck earlier today. Many homes have sustained damage, with several completely destroyed,” Sheriff Joel Houston wrote on social media.

“To maintain safety during this recovery period, the town has implemented a curfew.”
Houston said emergency crews are actively working to clear debris, including fallen trees and power lines.
He said no injuries have been reported.
Meanwhile, he says the town has no cell phone service.
