The Social Security Administration announces two new payments for this week

When a United States citizen applies for retirement benefits, he or she can find out more or less at what point in the month the Social Security Administration will send his or her check to his or her checking account. Thanks to this information, planning in the economic sphere is much easier for Americans, making it possible to have a more controlled budget.

Likewise, we sometimes find that the same retiree can receive two different payments on the same day, but it is true that not all Americans can enjoy these Social Security benefits. The truth is that there are many types of payments, whether from the SSA or not, and it is not impossible to receive them all throughout the month.

But what is certain is that if we have the SSI accepted and we are part of Social Security group 1, we will be able to enjoy the benefits directly in the first week of April, having absolute control of the money for the rest of the month.

How can I get two Social Security payments this week?

The truth is that in order to get these payments you only need to meet a few requirements. In addition to that, the collection method you choose is also key to enjoying the monthly benefit. If you have Direct Deposit, you won’t have to wait a single day to enjoy the check, as it’s an immediate method.

In order to collect this week’s Social Security and SSI payments, you have to make sure you meet two requirements:

  1. To have been receiving Social Security benefits since before May 1997. This makes us part of group 1 of retirees.
  2. To have an accepted SSI benefit. This makes us eligible for the SSI check for April 1st.

In the case of having both benefits accepted, there is no doubt that the Social Security Administration will send us the checks on April 1st and 3rd, 2025. The payment on April 1st can be up to $967 for individuals and $1,450 for individuals with an eligible spouse.

On the other hand, the check on April 3rd can be up to $5,180 for old-age retirees and up to $4,018 for disability retirees. The final payment depends on our work history, but in the end we will receive the same check that we got in the months of March, February and January of this year, 2025.
