The Portland Trail Blazers finished up their most recent road trip with a 118-113 loss in Chicago on Friday night.
Deni Avdija followed up for a tip-in to put Portland up 69-67 midway through the third quarter, but that would be the final time that the Trail Blazers would hold the upper hand.
A Dalano Banton 3-pointer brought the Blazers within two points as the clock dipped under three minutes to play, but Cody White went 5-for-6 (83.3%) from the free-throw line down the stretch to seal the win for Chicago.
Avdija led the Blazers with 37 points, while Banton added 21 points.
Portland (34-44) is back home at 3 p.m. Sunday to face San Antonio.
