Tune in to the official Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered livestream reveal

After nearly two full years of rumors, Bethesda has finally now confirmed the existence of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered and today is the day it will finally give us an official look at it. That is providing you don’t count the seemingly official images that were uncovered on the developer’s site last week, but either way Bethesda is set to host what appears to be a livestream or to at least launch some sort of trailer/showcase for the game this morning and you can check it out below.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered’s first actual appearance came as part of documents that came to light in the FTC’s case against Microsoft alongside the first hint at what we now know is the latest DOOM game. Several rumors later, images from the game including gameplay screenshots, a comparison image between it and the original release, and key art (possibly even the cover) of the game appeared on the Virtuos website (the developer handling the remaster) that were then widely surfaced across the internet before being promptly taken down – you can check them out right here

At the time of the leak more than a couple reliable sources and leakers claimed there was a good chance Microsoft and Bethesda would shadow release the game out of nowhere as early as yesterday. While that clearly did not happen, Bethesda finally acknowledged the game’s existence with a not so cryptic image featuring a prominent “IV” and text reading not much more than “Tomorrow, 11:00 am EST.” A link also pointed to a YouTube livestream placeholder reading “All will be revealed….Tune in on April 22, 2025, at 11am ET/8am PT.”

This is clearly referring to The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered and this morning’s livestream or showcase of some sort – it is all set to go live very shortly down below.

The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, as the name suggests, is the fourth installment in the long running series that initially released way back in 2006 on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. Set in the province of Cyrodiil, Bethesda released a pair of expansions for the game – Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles – that were than packaged into the Game of the Year Edition in 2007 and once again in a 2011 re-release – there has been no official word as of yet whether or not these add-ons will be included The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered but we will likely find out for sure very shortly.

It’s not the Elder Scrolls VI we have been waiting for years on since its initial reveal some 6 years ago, but it is something.

The remaster is expected to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S as well as Game Pass.
