Elon Musk-owned X (formerly Twitter) faced significant technical issues, with over 7,100 user complaints. Approximately 39% reported app access problems, and many encountered an error message. Previously this month, a DDoS attack by Dark Storm, a Pro-Palestinian group, caused intermittent outages, with reports peaking at 40,000 affected users. Musk indicated substantial coordinated cyberattacks were responsible.

Elon Musk-owned social networking site, X (formerly Twitter), has experienced widespread technical problems and errors on Sunday (March 30). According to Downdetector.com, a website that tracks online outages, reports of problems are surging for users in the US and in India. At the time of writing, over 7,100 complaints had been submitted. Approximately 39% of these reports indicated issues with accessing the X app, while others cited problems with accessing the website and server issue.

Many users, including those of The Times of India tech team, attempting to view posts on the X website encountered an error message stating, “Something went wrong. Try reloading.”

Twitter experienced widespread outage earlier this month with Elon Musk acknowledging it, saying that the social media platform is experiencing issues across the globe. Twitter went Down, Up and again Down several times during the day. Commenting on the outage, Elon Musk said that Twitter is facing a massive cyberattack and that they are trying to trace the hackers.

“There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against 𝕏. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved. Tracing …,” wrote Musk in a post on Twitter.

A Pro-Palestinian cyberhacking group, Dark Storm, claimed responsibility for the alleged attack on X, and shared screenshots on the Telegram app to support their claim.

According to a report by news agency Reuters, citing a source in the internet infrastructure industry, X was likely targeted by several waves of Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. X faced intermittent outages, with Downdetector reporting 11,745 affected users in the US. The number of outage reports later increased to approximately 26,579, and had reached as high as 40,000 at one point.
