U.S. Bank believes exec Terry Dolan dead in Brooklyn Park plane crash

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. — U.S. Bank officials told KARE 11 they believe the bank’s vice chair, Terry Dolan, was killed in the Brooklyn Park plane crash on Saturday.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has not yet identified the person who died in the crash.

“At this time, we are unable to confirm whether he was on board, but we believe he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and friends, and anyone who may have been affected by yesterday’s tragic incident,” said a statement from the bank.

According to his company profile, Dolan took over as the Minneapolis-based bank’s chief administration officer in 2023. He previously served as chief financial officer and vice chair of wealth management and investment services, executive vice president and controller.

In a press release, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) identified the plane as a Socata TBM 700.

On Saturday, the Brooklyn Park Fire Department responded to the incident just after noon. The FAA stated a small plane departed from Des Moines International Airport in Iowa and was headed to Anoka County-Blaine Airport when it crashed.

Video from a neighbor shows the plane nosediving in Brooklyn Park. The Brooklyn Park Fire Department stated the plane crashed into a house, but none of the people in the house were injured.
