The 2025 NCAA women’s Tournament moves into the second round on Sunday.
No. 1 overall seed UCLA (31-2) takes on No. 8 Richmond (28-6). It is the Spiders’ first appearance in the second round of March Madness and the first time the Bruins and Spiders have ever played.
UCLA is aiming for its third straight Sweet 16 appearance and 10th overall. The Bruins dominated Southern 84-46 in the first round, Lauren Betts leading the way with 16 points and five other players scoring in double digits. Richmond stomped Georgia Tech 74-49 in the first round with Maggie Doogan putting up a double-double of 30 points and 15 rebounds.
