This is the UFC Kansas City live blog for Anthony Smith vs. Zhang Mingyang, the light heavyweight co-main event on Saturday at T-Mobile Center.

Saturday will be Smith’s 25th walk to the octagon, and also his last. A one-time light heavyweight title challenger, Smith has been a staple of the UFC since 2016 but at just 2-5 over his past seven fights, Smith is ready to move on to the next phase of his career. “Lionheart” has no intention of taking the easy road out though as he defends his No. 15 ranking against a scary rising contender in his final fight.

Carlos Prates may have stolen the show from UFC debutants in 2024, but Zhang didn’t do half bad himself. The Road to UFC product fought twice last year, earning first-round knockouts both time, and taking home an extra $50,000 for Performance of the Night as well. “Mountain Tiger” looks to make it three-for-three in the octagon and move into the 205-pound rankings on Saturday.
