Fans have been left fuming after CBS abruptly canceled two popular longstanding shows.
The network announced Wednesday that its two most beloved FBI spinoffs, FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International, will not return for another season.
Many were left shocked by the shake up as FBI: Most Wanted, starring Dylan McDermott and Shantel VanSanten, has been on air for six seasons since debuting in 2020.
Meanwhile, FBI: International, starring Jesse Lee Soffer and Christina Wolfe, has been on for four seasons after its premier in 2021.
Loyal fans quickly took to social media in protest, as one wrote: ‘@CBS makes the worst decisions on what series to cancel. FBI: Most Wanted is excellent.’
‘Damn them! They were the closest things to real FBI doing their jobs without a buffoon as the director,’ wrote another.
Someone else said: ‘What is wrong with you?? We want FBI : International and Most Wanted back on!!!’
‘@CBS YOU CANCELLED FBI MOST WANTED AND INTERNATIONAL THIS IS BULLS*** #SAVETHEFBIS,’ a commenter said.

A third FBI series, FBI: CIA, is currently in the works, the network announced in January.
All three are produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television.
FBI: CIA follows ‘a dedicated strait-laced FBI agent and street-smart CIA agent’ who are part of a ‘clandestine task force charged with solving and preventing domestic terrorism in and around New York City,’ the show’s description reads.
Fans were still not impressed with the station after learning of the new FBI spinoff.
‘Why do they think we are interested in this anymore if for this to happen they canceled two of our shows without giving us any type of closure… F*** YOU CBS,’ one wrote.
Another posted: ‘Dear @CBS, nobody asked for FBI:CIA. We don’t care about it. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU CANCEL #FBIInternational & #FBIMostWanted?????? Are you mad?????’
‘This is mind blowing. Now CBS will have to fill in two hours on Tuesday night and hope the disappointed fans of these spin-offs stick around to watch FBI:CIA,’ someone else wrote.

It is unclear exactly why the two hit shows were nixed, but many speculate it was done to make way for the new spin off. DailyMail.com contacted CBS for comment.
It is also unclear when the show’s final episodes will air, but, according to Deadline, they ‘are still in production on their current seasons with several episodes to go.’
When FBI: Most Wanted first launched, the cast included Julian McMahon, Kellan Lutz, Keisha Castle-Hughes, and Nathaniel Arcand.
McDermott took over McMahon’s lead role of Supervisory Special Agent Remy Scott, head of the Fugitive Task Force, in 2022.
The 63-year-old actor, also known for his roles in The Practice and American Horror Story, was even joined on the show by his eldest child, Colette in a 2023 episode of the hit series.
He spoke highly of his daughter in a previous interview with People, where he opened up about being proud of her as a father and feeling honored to have her as a co-star.
‘And the fact now that we get to be on this show together? Because [with] your kids, one minute you’re holding them in your arms, and the next minute they’re on screen with you — it’s just surreal,’ he said.

FBI: International has also switched up its cast over the years, as Luke Kleintank, who starred as one of the show’s leads – Supervisory Special Agent Scott Forrester – left the series in 2023.
‘After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to leave FBI International,’ the actor began.
‘This decision is driven by my unwavering commitment to my family, whose love and well-being are paramount in my life,’ he added.
Kleintank signed on as Scott Forrester back in July 2021, with the series a spin-off of the network’s FBI and FBI: Most Wanted.
The series received a straight-to-series order in March 2021, with the series debuting as part of a three-hour crossover episode with FBI and FBI: Most Wanted in September 2021.
In replacement of Kleintank, Soffer, who previously starred in the hit NBC series, Chicago PD, and Jay Hayden, who was in Station 19, were brought in.
