Warriors React to Major Steph Curry Announcement

The Golden State Warriors continue to climb up the NBA standings, establishing themselves as true threats to the league title after the trade deadline. 

Golden State entered the matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night having won back-to-back games, defeating the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Pelicans.

During their matchup against the Grizzlies, the Warriors announced historic news regarding Stephen Curry

Curry has passed Jerry West for 25th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. He now sits one spot behind one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history, Reggie Miller. 

“Making moves,” posted the Warriors’ official social media account. 

At this point in the game, where Curry passed West to enter the Top 25, he had already posted 45 points, seven rebounds and seven assists amid the third quarter of the matchup against Memphis. 

West capped off his 14-year NBA career having scored 25,192 points. He retired as a 14-time All-Star, 12-time All-NBA member, 1971-72 MVP and five-time All-Defensive team player.

So far this season, Curry has averaged 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game, leading the Warriors in average points. 

Golden State entered the matchup against the Grizzlies sitting at No. 6 in the Western Conference standings with a 43-31 record.
