WATCH: CSK Struggling For Runs? Call Sam Curran

Sam Curran showed his batting class, smashing a blistering half-century against Punjab Kings, on April 30 (Wednesday). The English all-rounder, batting at No.3, slammed his first half-century for the franchise after 1649 days, with his previous half-century coming in 2020.

On that occasion, the left-handed all-rounder got a half-century against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Sharjah, which ended in a thrashing for the franchise. But what followed after his sixth IPL fifty was an extravagant celebration as the all-rounder lifted his finger, gesturing ‘Call me’.

It was the eighth half-century for the five-time IPL winners, and Curran’s expression was almost like ‘Need runs, I’m here’. The left-hander absolutely took the attack against PBKS’ bowlers, and even smashed the newbie all-rounder Suryansh Shedge.

Against Shedge, the all-rounder smashed six, six, two, two, four, four before finishing the over with a single as the Englishman got 26 runs off the over. In the process, Curran bettered his previous IPL high score (41-ball 63), which he scored for Punjab Kings against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024.
