Thousands of Spotify users reported issues using the music streaming service on April 16.

The issue started at about 6 a.m. as more than 48,000 users reported issues in cities across the country, including Phoenix, according to Down Detector. Most users were reporting issues with the app, but some also were having issues with audio streaming on the website.

The company posted on X, formerly Twitter, that it was aware of the issue and working to resolve it.

“We are aware of the outage and working to resolve it as soon as possible. The reports of this being a security hack are false,” Spotify Status account posted.
