Kylie Kelce and Jason Kelce are now the parents of a fierce foursome after they welcomed their newborn daughter, Finnley “Finn” Anne, on March 30.
The couple have four girls: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and newborn Finnley. Their unique names are a creative spin on gender norms, but what was the inspiration?
As Kylie said on her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, if a pregnant woman tells you their baby’s name, don’t offer your opinion.
“If she chooses to share it with you, feel privileged enough that you get to know that information, and then promptly tell them that’s beautiful and move the f— on,” she advised on the Jan. 9 episode.
Here is what Kylie has said about where she found inspiration for her daughters’ names, and how baby Finnley was almost named after a Kate Hudson character.

Not only do all four of their names have double letters, they are all gender-neutral. Kylie brought up the topic of gender-neutral baby names on the Jan. 9 episode of Not Gonna Lie, when she spoke with former soccer player Alex Morgan, whose daughter is named Charlie.
“We debated Charlie for our first, and then within I think six months we had three different friends who named their kid Charlie,” Kylie told Morgan. “This was six years ago, and Jason and I were like, ‘Shoot, now we can’t do Charlie.’ ”
The podcast host also alluded to choosing another gender-neutral name for her fourth child, who she was pregnant with at the time.
“I feel like we have to lean a little bit towards those sort of gender-neutral names for our fourth because we have Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett,” she explained. “So if we do a full commit to a girly name at this point it would not sit well with the other three … I think eventually they’ll be like, ‘Why did they get a cute girly name?’ ”

When choosing her children’s names, Kylie said she was conscious of the nicknames the children would go by, which automatically removed some names from the list of potentials.
“When you suggest a baby name think of the nicknames that would then go along with that name because I know a lot of great Gary’s but I cannot name my daughter Garrett knowing that her name her nickname would be Gary,” she said on the Jan. 23 episode of her podcast. “Also, Merritt, we have received a lot. I like Christmas, but I don’t need to feel Merry, you know?”
In the same episode, she also braced listeners that her youngest daughter might not have a name with two T’s to match her older three.
“There’s a good chance that this child doesn’t even get two t’s. I know people are very invested in this, but I just feel like a curveball might be fun,” she explained. “Also, we’ve run out … so just prepare yourselves if we don’t have two t’s. It’s okay, and she’s still one of us.”

Jason and Kylie’s third daughter Bennett, who was born in 2023, has the middle name Llewellyn, after Jason’s grandmother.
“It’s Grandma Mary’s maiden name. I wanted to honor Grandma Mary, who is now resting in peace,” Jason said in a February 2023 episode of New Heights. “She had a good run.”

When thinking of a name for her youngest daughter, Kylie almost found inspiration in Kate Hudson’s iconic character Andie from the 2003 romantic comedy classic How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is one of my favorite movies of all-time, but absolutely my favorite rom-com,” Kylie told Hudson when she appeared on the March 6 episode of Not Gonna Lie. “We’ve even considered Andie as a name for our fourth girl … Andie would fit in there and it would be so cool.”
Though Kylie revealed that Andie was “on the list, it’s in consideration,” she and Jason ultimately went with Finnley.

In a clip teasing Kylie’s first postpartum episode of Not Gonna Lie, Kylie told listeners that the baby-naming saga “has officially concluded.”
“All the people who are going to be triggered by the fact that this name does not have two t’s, I warned you. It was a journey,” she teased. “For the first 24 hours of her life, she did not have a name. We had discussed names with anyone that we could trust to not share names. We didn’t go with a single option that we had been discussing, so there’s that.”
The youngest Kelce’s name is Finnley Anne Kelce, but according to Kylie, she will go by “Finn” for short.
“The name Finn was not one of the names that we were discussing with other people, but came back around because it was a serious contender for Elliotte’s name,” she explained. “Considering we had to name four children with the same gender, we had to run it back to the archives, borrow one from a different child, and that’s what we did.”
As for Finn’s middle name, Anne, the newborn shares the name with other members of Kylie’s family, including her grandmother, sister and cousins.

Jason’s younger brother Travis Kelce both met and learned of his new niece’s name while the two brothers were recording the April 2 episode of their podcast, New Heights.
“Jason, you only sent one picture … you didn’t even tell me what name you picked yet,” Travis said after Jason asked him if he wanted to meet Finnley during their recording.
Kylie made a cameo with baby Finnley, which prompted Travis to tease, “Jason hasn’t told me, if you guys picked a name yet. Is this still a nameless baby?”
