What’s open and closed for Easter 2025 in the Austin area?

AUSTIN, Texas — If you forgot to stock your Easter basket or grab some last-minute supplies for a holiday feast, we’ve got you covered! Many stores adjust their hours for the holiday, but you still have plenty of options if you need some Easter essentials.

Easter falls on Sunday, April 20, this year. Some popular stores like H-E-B shut their doors completely during the holiday, while others may offer limited hours. A reminder that sometimes operating hours may vary by location.

  • Easter Sunday is one of the seven holidays which Costco closes its U.S. warehouses.

  • Some stores will have reduced hours for Easter. Some pharmacies will also operate on a limited basis.

Burlington, HomeGoods, Lowe’s, Marshalls, Office Depot, OfficeMax, and TJ Maxx are some of the notable stores closed for Easter.

Ace Hardware, Athleta, Banana Republic, Gap, Home Depot, IKEA, Old Navy, Petco, PetSmart, Sephora and Tractor Supply Co. will be open for the holiday.
