Emma Raducanu is on her best-ever run in a WTA 1000 event after reaching the quarter-finals of the Miami Open.
The 22-year-old booked her place in the last eight after flying past 17-seed Amanda Anisimova in straight sets.

Raducanu was playing at a stage she had failed to reach since last year, but that didn’t impact her, as she eased through.
And that meant she achieved a career first, setting up a quarter-final match in a WTA 1000 event for the first time.
She will now face World No.4 Jessica Pegula and here’s when that clash is going to take place…
Raducanu will play in the Miami Open quarter-finals TONIGHT.
The match is planned to start at 11pm UK time.
Raducanu is taking on American star Pegula who saw off Marta Kostyuk in straight sets to progress.
She won the ATX Open earlier this month and is looking for another title, with the Brit standing in her way.
The pair last met at Eastbourne last year when Raducanu won, while their only other meeting came in 2022 and Pegula won that.
It sets up a thrilling clash in Miami and Raducanu will be backing herself to go all the way as she continues to improve.
Speaking after her last-16 win over Anisimova, she said: “I’ve come a long way in the last week, I think, since Indian Wells.

“I wasn’t necessarily feeling great about my tennis, about everything, but this week I have, yeah, some really good people around me who I trust and who I have fun with off the court as well and that’s extremely important.
“For me, who’s just very expressive, and when I play my best, I’m definitely authentic, true to myself and creative.
“And I feel when I’m boxed in into a regimented way, then I’m not able to kind of express myself in the same way.
“So I’m happy with how I kind of realised that this week as well.”
Raducanu’s Miami Open run comes after she ended her short partnership with coach Vladimir Platenik.
She had lost five of her last six games, but now she’s eyeing glory after the change.

“I think it’s a different approach this week,” she explained.
“I think five minutes before the match I was playing spike ball with the team. It helps me to relax.
“When I’m playing my best tennis I’m really expressing my personality. I’d say I’m a bit of a free spirit so I don’t need restrictions or being told what to do.
“I think when I’m being really authentic, that’s when I’m playing my best.”
