The Detroit Tigers meet up with the San Diego Padres in the middle matchup of their series on Tuesday night at Comerica Park.

The Tigers certainly started on the right foot against the best team in baseball. Detroit manufactured six runs across the first three innings on Monday night, using timely hits and smart baserunning to build up a comfortable lead. While the Padres tried to close the gap, the Tigers’ bullpen was able to shut the door and grab a 6-4 win. It marks the team’s fourth victory in five games.

After Keider Montero allowed three earned runs in over four innings of work, Detroit gave up just two hits the rest of the night.Zach McKinstry and Gleyber Torres each had three hits in the win.
