Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson have been cooking something up outside of the kitchen. 

After years of collaborating on multiple shows for the Food Network, their relationship has turned romantic. 

“They have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in,” a source told PEOPLE in March 2025. “Her divorce last year probably gave them some additional shared experiences and over the last few weeks, love bloomed.”

In 2024, Williamson finalized her divorce from ex-husband Nick Roberts, with whom she shares a son. Flay has been single since his split from writer and editor Christina Pérez was made public in June 2024. 

Williamson, who rose to fame after winning season 14 of Top Chef in 2017, began working with Flay in 2021 when she served as a judge on his reality competition series BBQ Brawl. The famed chef and restaurateur later selected Williamson as one of his “titans” for Bobby’s Triple Threat, which pits one chef against three of his handpicked culinary masterminds.  

From working together to building a romantic connection, here’s everything to know about Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson’s relationship.

Like Flay, Williamson is a chef. After spending a year at the University of Colorado Boulder, the Los Angeles-born TV star attended the Culinary Institute of America and became the youngest sous chef at the widely acclaimed restaurant Michael’s in Santa Monica, Calif., per her Crossroads profile. 

Williamson landed her first gig as an executive chef at Boxer in L.A. She later opened five restaurants in the area with her then-husband: Hudson House, The Tripel, Playa Provisions Tripli-Kit and Da Kikokiko. 

The famed chef first appeared on Top Chef in 2012, where she was the runner-up on season 10. Five years later, Williamson returned and won the competition series.

Since winning the title of Top Chef in 2017, Williamson has gone on to appear in a number of reality cooking competitions both as a contestant and a judge. She won Guy Fieri’s Tournament of Champions in 2020 and has been a judge on 24 in 24, Chopped and Guy’s Grocery Games, according to her website. 

“I’m a naturally competitive person,” she told Mashed in 2022. “I enjoy the thrill of putting yourself in that unpredictable place. I also feel like I’m pretty good at it.” 

A month before their relationship was confirmed, the chef also appeared on Beat Bobby Flay — a competition series in which various chefs compete against Flay — where she joked about how it was “traumatizing” to watch him win.

Williamson has appeared as one of Flay’s three “titans” on Bobby’s Triple Treat since 2022. Flay opened up about why he cast her, noting that she was one of the “savviest chefs” he knew. 

“When you give Brooke a problem to solve in the kitchen, she’s very thoughtful about it, but she always goes for satisfaction,” the chef said in an Instagram Reel. “She wants to make sure that when you’re tasting something that you’re incredibly satisfied. She knows that the word craveability is really the key and she conquers that every single time.”

In March 2025, PEOPLE confirmed that Flay and Williamson were in a relationship. An inside source revealed that they had been “friends for a while” and that their love had “bloomed” over the last few weeks. 

The source also said that Flay flew out to surprise Williamson at the No Kid Hungry Dinner in L.A. on March 17, where she was being honored. He was included in her series of Instagram photos recapping the event, which she described in her caption as “a dream of an evening.”

Williamson and Flay are both parents. She has a son, Hudson, from her previous marriage to Roberts, and he has a daughter, Sophie Flay, from his marriage to Kate Connelly.  

In a 2024 interview on Kristin Cavallari‘s podcast Let’s Be Honest, Flay said that while he doesn’t “need” to get married again, he would like a life partner. 

“I don’t feel like I need to do it again,” the chef said. “I have an amazing daughter who is 28 years old. I’m not having any more kids as far as I know … I would be interested in a life partner for sure. But I don’t think it necessarily needs the documentation.”
